Catalyzation:
At the start of the global pandemic, there was a reel on YouTube that I watched that had 50 Different companies who had used the hashtag we're in this together, everybody from car companies to water companies, food companies, pop companies, were in this together.
Well, now we're at the end of the pandemic. And we're not doing this together anymore. Now I gotta get back to making some dough and creating products that are obviously solving for people. And I think this is where we need to catalyze. It's good enough to talk about it, but what are you doing? If you were doing a sport sponsorship, you don't just slap your logo on there and do the hashtag, hey, we support X team. You support that team and then you look at how you can activate around it. How can I now catalyze people around whatever the issue is that you want to step in and be part of solving the issues that we need to focus on the most that are the fundamental needs of the human condition.
And so we as a society tend to focus on the crisis. We wait until people are sick before we help them. We wait until they have no food before we send them to a food bank. We wait until we have some type of crisis in our lives. Well, I think that's the definition of insanity. To me, the greatest thing we can do is stop waiting until people are sick or hungry or something until we help them. Let's get proactive in what we do. And again, this is the message of The GenWell Project.
Let's catalyze people to take action. Let's not just stop at saying hey, you should get connected. It's like, hey, if you're a grocery retailer, let's make sure that we're bringing people together in your parking lot. So you've got these three spaces if you're a brand. Let's create ways in which people can gather in their community, let's inspire people, let's get people to get together face to face because we now know that human interaction is critically important for our health, our happiness, our longevity, and frankly, from a business component, when you think about the workforce, it's important for our success.
