Understanding Z Tribe
Z Tribe, born between 1999 and present day and between the ages of 10 to 19, is the first generation to have the opportunity to interact with people on screens. This digital-native generation has a global population of 1 billion and is associated with the Obama presidency, hashtag activism, and endless access to information. Around 80% of this generation feel that who they are online is essentially who they are offline, and 25% of them are making money through being online. This generation is not just influenced by influencer marketing, but by "fan-funded influencer," a new trend in which influencers make money from their fans instead of brand partnerships. Z Tribe values products as a means of self-expression and prefer to shop in stores to touch and feel what they're going to buy, in opposition to online shopping. They also enjoy spending time with friends in person while shopping.
Understanding Z Alpha
Z Alpha, the younger portion of Gen Z, is a generation of digital natives who are being raised by parents who value intelligence and personal growth. As they begin to enter the workforce, it's becoming increasingly important for companies to consider how they can best prepare for the unique strengths and challenges of this emerging generation. With a passion for social justice and environmentalism, Z Alpha is a socially conscious and engaged generation that is poised to make a significant impact on the world.
